iTunes Back Up

Backing Up Your Device Via iTunes:

This will be a quick and simple guide on how to back up your iPhone, iPad or iPod via iTunes.
It is always a good idea to back up your device as often as possible. This will assure that your precious memories and data will always be safe.

1: Always make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed whether you are using a Windows PC or a Apple Mac.
iTunes can be downloaded directly from apples website. Download Here

2: Once you have installed iTunes on to your PC or Mac, it is as simply as connecting your device via the usb cable supplied with the device or the one you charge the device with. Once connected open up iTunes if not already open.

3: iTunes may ask for access to your device if secured with a passcode if so unlock your device. You will then be prompt to trust the computer. Select trust on the device. Once the computer has been trusted then your iTunes should looks something similar to the image below.
Once connected you will see a little device icon (outlined in red in the image) click this icon.

4: Once the icon is pressed, you will be taken to a new screen thats shows all the details of the device, in this case we have blacked out all private information. Information that is displayed will be the Name of the device, the devices Serial Number and if a phone it will display the mobile number.
Once you are in the page like the image below, it is as simple as selecting “This Computer” and then “Back Up Now”. You can encrypt your back up with a passcode if you wish. PLEASE NOTE: if you back up you device with an Encrypting please remember this passcode as if you ever need to restore your device from the back up it will ask for the password. Once done you may disconnect your device, your back up will always be stored on your computer unless deleted by the computers administrator.
